We regularly deploy state-of-the-art, lighter than air Stratollites – vehicles with sensors and navigation capability – into the stratosphere to capture high resolution data with precision as high as 5 cm GSD for electro-optical imagery and other capabilities such as infrared, radar and RF signal processing.
Stratollites operate at lower altitude than satellites in the stratosphere, navigate using winds at different elevations, and offer persistent observation of areas of interest for days, weeks, and months at a time. This persistent observation capability breaks all previous barriers associated with satellites and other aerial vehicles.
Top use cases include asset monitoring and inspection for commercial companies in sectors like energy, transportation, and agriculture, and ISR (intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance) for government entities.
